Michael C. Smith is a talented speaker, leadership facilitator, training
and development professional, instructor, public speaking coach, employee
relations specialist, human resources consultant and international senior
administrator. Michael is a dynamic leader that knows how to solve complex
problems associated with employee/employer issues. He has resolved highly
volatile employee situations in the Middle East as well as the United
States.
He has developed and implemented “Military Briefing
Techniques” for the United States Army. Designed, trained and implemented
diversity programs on an international basis. Michael has developed, planned,
organized, and directed Employee Assistance Programs in accordance with
Drug-Free Workplace Act which substantially reduced absenteeism, job-site
accidents and job-site conflicts. The development, writing, and implementation
of his program “Employee Guidelines and Training Procedures”
for a foreign-based company is definitely a point of pride. He is a past
president of The George Hyman Toastmaster’s International Chapter
and a member of The American Compensation Association.
A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and a graduate
of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in
Biomedical Research, The John F. Kennedy School of Languages, Naples,
Italy with an Associates degree in Italian. As a United States Navy Vietnam
Veteran he received awards and medals: Meritorious Unit Citation (Gallantry),
Vietnamese Service and Vietnamese Campaign among others.
