There is a tremendous need for board and staff development in the world of nonprofit organizations. Individuals are selected, given assignments, or
elected to nonprofit boards and in most case left to figure it out for themselves or hoping the Executive Director (CEO) and staff can teach them all she or he needs to know. Nonprofit organizations are major contributors to the world society and the better equipped they are to provide services and resources
the much better the world will be. The development of board of directors requires a significant investment of, time, resources, and efforts on the part of the leadership of the organization. Leadership At Its Best can help a
nonprofit organization improve it’s over effectiveness.

 

PROGRAMS DESCRIPTION

Leadership and Development for Board of Directors, Executive
Director (CEO) and staff.


The Leadership and Development program is a two day process for the
Board of Directors and professional staff. During these two days the
leadership for the organization will be trained in the following areas:

• Roles and Responsibilities of the Nonprofit Board and its staff
• Setting the frame work for the Development of the Strategic Plan


Strategic Planning

The success of any organization requires the development of a Strategic Business Plan that gives the big picture of key trends and factors that are affecting the future success of the organization.

The strategic planning process will take place over two days or can be done
in one day depending on the current position of the organization. During the process, and we use the term process because it is truly an on going process to develop a workable Strategic Plan. During the process Leadership At Its Best will work with the board of directors and CEO on the following.
